Carolyn Joiner Jolly passed away peacefully on Sunday September 7th, 2014 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Jolly was a lifelong resident of Decatur and member of Grant Street Church of Christ. She loved her family, friends, her church and her Savior.

Mrs. Jolly will be fondly remembered for her generosity and love which fed both body and soul. She truly lived up to her last name Jolly. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Elbert Lee Jolly; and her parents, J.V. and Orene Joiner.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Armstrong and Susan Jolly; their friends, Mike Williams and Rod Lemmond; her grandchildren, Andy Armstrong, Lori Pressnell and husband, Jamie; and great-grandchildren, Moses, Freida Mae and Leland Pressnell.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Decatur Health and Rehab for their professionalism and kindness. The family request that donations be made to Kids Kingdom at Grant Street Church of Christ.

Visitation for Mrs. Jolly will be today at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. Jere Spurlin will be officiating the service at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in Decatur City Cemetery.
