Mrs. Carolyn C. Myers, age 89 of Florence, passed away surrounded by her family on July 11, 2024. Services will be held on Monday, July 15th at the Elkins Chapel in Florence and will begin at 2:30pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service and will begin at 12pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Miles Stutts, James Senn, and Michael South are to speak at the service. Elkins Funeral Home in Florence is assisting the family.

Mrs. Myers was a kind and loving lady. She cared deeply for those she loved and was a caretaker for her granddaughter for many years. She was determined and strong. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts and camping, but her most beloved pastime was reading her bible.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her children, David Myers (Gwen), and Donald Wayne Myers; grandchildren, Dana Myers, Josh Myers (Jodi), Ashby King (Allen), and Matthew Myers (Chasidy); great grandchildren, Brody King, Brock King, Gavin Myers, Garrett Myers, Aaden Myers; siblings, Benny Carmack, Dorothy Henson, and Rebecca Swafford; and a special friend, Holly Gibson. She is preceded in death by her husband, David F. Myers; parents, Clarence E. Carmack and Edna M. Willingham; and siblings, Melvin Carmack, Joe Carmack, Kenneth Carmack , Pride Carmack, and Charles Carmack, Catherine Robinson and Linda Carmack.

The family would like to give special thanks to Affinty hospice, Holly Gibson, Maricella Pagan, Anna Young and Carlee Pereira for the love and care the provided to Mrs. Myers.

Pallbearers for the service will be Matthew Myers, Allen King, Josh Myers, Garrett Myers, Brody King, and Aaden Myers. Brock King will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
