Carolyn Olive Guyot Watson, age 90, passed away quietly at home. Carolyn was born October 30, 1921, in Arcola, Ill., the daughter of Ira and Marie Guyot. She married Donald Lee Watson on June 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Watson; one son, William Watson; and one brother, Robert Guyot.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Deborah Schwarz of Decatur; one son, Larry Guyot of Cheshire, Conn.; three granddaughters, Christine (Steven) Cassesse of Wallingford, Conn., Christina Watson and Erica Watson, both of Decatur, and one grandson, Steven Guyot of West Hartford, Conn.; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Julia Cassesse, both of Wallingford, Conn., and one great-grandson, Eathan Watson of Decatur; one sister, Beverly (Gerald) Good of Arcola, Ill.; one brother, John (Joan) Guyot of Arcola, Ill.; one niece, Merilee (Darrin) Bennett; two nephews, Jeffery Guyot and Robert (Beverly) Hess and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Sunday, January 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Cameron Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
