Catherine Yarbrough Hodgins age 88 of Florence, passed on Saturday May 5, 2012. A brief memorial service will be held at 2pm Tuesday May 8th at First Christian Church of Florence with Reverend Dr. Carl Gebhardt and Rev. Laura Hutchinson officiating. A private burial will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville. Catherine was a member of First Christian Church of Florence, a graduate of Auburn University and a native of Huntsville, Alabama. She was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Jasper Clark Hodgins Jr. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Cloud Yarbrough and Alena Bess Miller Yarbrough. She was also preceded by three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Hodgins is survived by her daughter, Ginny Palmer and husband Robert. A granddaughter, Rachel Motes and husband Marc, and a grandson, Wesley Frazier; Two great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine Jones and Emma Grace Jones, a niece and a nephew.
