Cecil Boyd Caine Sr. Moulton
Memorial service for Cecil Boyd Caine Sr., 89, of Moulton will be Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Darrell Wood officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Caine, who died Thursday, July 10, 2008, was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Lawrence County to Russell Caine and Bessie Richardson Caine. He graduated from Lawrence County High School and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater of World War II. He farmed and worked at TVA and Ford Motor Co. prior to his retirement and was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. He was devoted to his family and was a lifelong Democrat and fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Smith Caine; one son, Cecil Boyd Caine Jr. and his wife, Karen; three granddaughters, Jordan Matthews of Decatur, Lauren Davis of Birmingham and Meredith Goldsmith of Tuscaloosa; three great-grandchildren, Greer Caine Davis, Caine Jemison Matthews and Robert Grayton Goldsmith; one brother, Russell Caine of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Jane Price of Monticello, Ga., and Betty Pickens of Moulton; and 13 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
