Celestine M. Mabe of Lexington departed this mortal life Thursday May 4, 2012 to meet her Savior at the gates of heaven. Visitation will be Sunday May 7, from 1pm till 3pm at Lexington United Methodist Church with services at 3pm with Brother James Cotton and Brother Kenny Baskins officiating. Burial will be at Porter Town Cemetery. Celestine was a true Southern Lady, having lived on a farm her entire life. She loved her many friends and large family. She was a gracious wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Celestine was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church since childhood. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl Mabe, precious daughter Linda Mabe Bailey, her parents Samuel R. and Ida Hammond McGuire, brothers Clarence and Ernie McGuire, sisters Annie Campbell, Madge Ritter, Christine Howard and an infant brother, Fred McGuire. She is survived by daughter Mary Ann (Patrick) Brown of Lexington, AL, son-in-law Don Bailey of Taipei, Taiwan, grandchildren Amy (Scott) Lovelace of Killen, AL, Lori (Richie) Ambrose of Birmingham, AL, Julie (Chris) Cameron of Knoxville, TN, Donald Bailey Jr. of Chattanooga, TN, great-grandchildren Lori-Anna and Mary Lindsay Lovelace, Abby, Mitchell and Luke Ambrose, McClain and Cooper Cameron, sister Nora Belle Campbell, brother-in-law A.D. Howard and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ted Hammond, Danny Mitchell, Tommy Springer, Don Williams, Lucas Williams, Morris Williams, Danny Williams and Ron Williams. Honorary pallbearers include Orville Bailey, Almon Truitt, Bobby McGuire, Ricky Bryan, Tommy Stephens, Tyler Pigg, David Brawner, Darryl Shelton, Kenny Abercrombie and Hunter Abercrombie.
