Graveside service for Charles Austin, 62, of Decatur will be today, February 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Dallas Culver officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Mr. Austin, who died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, was born August 23, 1949, in Morgan County to Roy Charles Austin Sr. and Jeanette White Austin. He was a Vietnam veteran and was retired from Fluor Daniels. After retiring, he built homes in the Decatur area. He was an Alabama fan. He loved his family very much.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Childers Austin; one daughter, Lindsey Holdemon and John of Tuscaloosa; two brothers, Thomas Wade Austin and Glenda of Guntersville and Mike Austin of Decatur; one granddaughter, Ellie Kathryn Holdemon; and his parents, Roy and Jeanette Austin of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
