Charles Bradford "Chuck" Fountain, 54, of Florence passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009. He was the son of the late Foster F. Fountain, Jr. and Beatrice Roby Fountain.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery. Blake Edwards will speak.
Chuck was an amazing person with a great memory for names. He was a master of old-movie and television trivia and loved big band swing and Elvis music. He retired in 2004 after serving 28 years as custodian of the Florence Senior Center and he enjoyed attending the Methodist church all his life.
He is survived by a sister Sarah Russell Tate and husband Ed, Cherokee; a brother Foster Fountain III and wife Mary, Florence; nephews Pace Stoddard, Birmingham, AL, Daniel Stoddard and wife Ashley, and their daughter Laina, Florence, Benjamin Fountain and wife Kristen, and their son Jackson, Albuquerque, NM, and Lt. Matthew Fountain, USN, NAS Whiting Field, Milton, FL; aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and close friends will serve as pallbearers.
