October 7, 1942 – November 22, 2018
Charles "Chuck" Emery Glenn, Sr., of Hoover, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of 76.
Charles was born to parents Charles Pearl Glenn and Lena Ella Archer on October 7, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. After leaving school early, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1964, he married Dianna Lynn Rogers. Charles was a commercial truck driver most of his working life that later included operating lawn care and commercial cleaning businesses with his wife Dianna.
Charles was also a talented musician and song writer. He was the lead guitar and vocalist for the country-western band The Freightliners and later formed the gospel quartet Cross Country that included his wife Dianna.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife Dianna. He is survived by his son, Charles, Jr. (Michele); his son Michael (Jeannine); his son Wayne; his son John (Teresa); several siblings; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Charles' wishes were to have his body cremated and for those that knew him to celebrate his life in Jesus Christ. The family is grateful for the condolences and asks that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made in his memory to the American Heart Association or any other charity.
