Charles Boyd Thomas Jr.,"Squirt", age 92, of Florence, passed, away at his home on Thursday, November 24, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 9:30 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Graveside services with Military Honors will be at Florence City Cemetery at 11:30 A.M. with John McKell officiating.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Helen Thomas, Wife Gracie Thomas, Daughter and son in law Deborah & Joe Cooper and Grandsons Craig Heathcock and Great Grandson Trey Hall.

Charles is survived by Daughter Donna Hood, her husband Terry, Son William Thomas his wife Deborah, 6 grandchildren, Tracy Hall (Brian), Craig Heathcock-deceased (Brandy), TJ Hood, Tim Hood (Sarah), Patrick Hood (Jessica), Will Thomas and Charles "Chazz" Thomas, and 10 great grand children

He was veteran of World War II having served his country in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees) on the island of Tinian. He is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the VFW, American Legion ,the Boy Scouts of America and was proud to be an Eagle Scout.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
