Charles Lawrence Sypolt, 83, of Florence, died Sunday, April 19, 2009.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Malone officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow Friday in the Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV.
Mr. Sypolt was a native of West Virginia. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WW II and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Florence.
He is survived by his wife Lyda Ruth Jeffrey League Sypolt, Florence; sons Michael League and wife Shelia, Florence, and Shane League, Florence; daughters Jean Szegedy and husband John, Florida and Charlene Cearns and husband Keith, Georgia; two brothers; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
