Turner Funeral Home, Decatur, Georgia with burial following in the Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mr. and Mrs. Denman lived in the Atlanta area until March, 2004 when they made Florence their home. After her daughters were born, she was a homemaker, seamstress, and gardener. As the girls grew, she re-entered the work force as a department manager for the J.C. Penney Co. She continually thought of others, and delighted in baking cakes on special occasions for the children at the Scottish Rite Hospital, and doing special things for nursing home residents in Decatur, Georgia. Mrs. Denman enjoyed music and passed that talent to her girls. She was a loving wife and mother and was a friend to everyone she knew.
Mrs. Denman was preceded in death by a brother, John William Seay, Jr. and is survived by her husband of 59 years, William C. Denman; daughters Sheryl Curtis and husband Marc, Leland, Mississippi and Janice McKell and husband Rev. John McKell, Florence; grandchildren Stephanie Curtis, Atlanta, GA and Eric Curtis, Monroe, LA; great-granddaughter Brooke Curtis; nieces Laura Moon, Thea Hadden, and Charissa Bright and their families.
Pallbearers will be Eric Curtis, John Offutt, Joe Littrell, Joseph Salter, Bob Moody and Bill Valentine.
