Charlotte was born on January 31, 1942 in Harlen, Kentucky and died March 27, 2023. She was an original "Coal Miners daughter".
Mom came from a big family with one brother and five sisters.
Our Mother was the best any child could ask. she loved with all her heart and loved her family dearly.
Mom always loved to travel. One of her favorite past times was watching HGTV. She got to go to Waco, Texas years ago to see what "fixer upper" had to offer and last year she visited Laurel, Mississippi to see "Hometown". Mom retired from Goodyear after working 28 years.
Momma got a new name 36 years ago, she became Granny and exceeded at that stage of her life. Fifteen years ago, she became a great-grandmother, a role she enjoyed to the last day of life.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Lona Smith, brother: Bobby Smith, and to great-grandsons: Charlie and Duncan Fleming.
Mom Lost the love of her life after being married 55 years, James P. Smith.
Survivors include children: Michael Smith (Bill McClellan),; Tira Vest (Steve), and Sonya Jasso (Salvador), grandchildren: Courtney Fleming (Dustin), Brandon Smith, Maegan Sillers (Peter) and Matthew Jasso. Great-grandchildren: Raegan, Ryder, Phoenix Sillers, Lillie, Emma, Jack Fleming, and Isla James Smith.
