Chlista Smith Wallace Moulton
Funeral for Chlista Smith Wallace, 90, of Moulton, will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church with Dr. Carl Evans and the Rev. Ian Butler officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wallace, who died Saturday, February 12, 2011, was born June 11, 1920, in Lawrence County to Thomas Smith and Katie Chela Smith. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. She worked in the Moulton Elementary School lunchroom for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Wallace; daughter, Vicki Blankenship; son-in-law, Ken Jinks; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Ann Wallace.
Survivors include one daughter; Peggy Wallace Jinks of Decatur; two sons, Waymon Wallace (Alpha) and Jerius Wallace (Daphine), all of Moulton; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels and Liberty United Methodist Church.
