Christine Shankle Smith
Decatur Graveside for Christine Shankle Smith, 95, of Decatur will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Dr. Darryl Goldman officiating and a visitation one hour before the graveside at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 20, 1922 in Lawrence County and passed away Oct. 24, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was owner and office manager of J.F. Smith Insurance Agency until 1979. She was a member of Decatur Insurance Business Women''s Organization, also a member of Memorial Drive Methodist Church until it''s closing and St. Andrew''s Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.F. Smith and a sister, Evelyn Shankle Marshall.

Survived by sister, Dorothy Shankle Johnson of Decatur; nephew, Jimmy Ray Johnson and wife, Judy of Tanner; niece, Maxine Marshall Clemons and husband, Bev T of O''Fallon, Missouri; great-nephew, Marshall Clemons and wife, Stephanie of O''Fallon Missouri; great-niece, Rebecca Pittman and husband, Jim of Concord North Carolina; several cousins and many many friends.
