Clara Gray Sandy, 90, of Decatur passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Riverside Assisted Living Facility. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dora Gray and loving husband, Jewel R. Sandy.

Survivors include one brother, Charlie Gray; a son, David, daughter-in-law, Nancy; three grand-children and two great-grandchildren.

She was employed as a nurse at Decatur Morgan Hospital for 27 years and was a long time member of Central Baptist Church where she worked with preschool children and played in the Senior Ukulele Band.

A funeral service will be held at Ridout's Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rob Jackson officiating with burial in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
