Funeral for Clarence Revelle Ferguson, 86, of Trinity will be Saturday, May 24, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Mason officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Ferguson, who died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Parkway Medical Center, was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Marshall County to Clarence W. and Lola Ferguson. He retired from South Central Bell with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. His wife, Ruby Mizelle Ferguson, preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, Ronald Ferguson and his wife, Patty, of Raleigh, N.C., and Joe Ferguson and his wife, Darlene, of Trinity; one sister, Montine Rose; four grandchildren, Chris Ferguson and his wife, Lisa, Clay Ferguson and his wife, Lisa, Jason Ferguson and his wife, Jackie, and Elizabeth Hattery and her husband, Joe; and nine great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society. Published in the Decatur Daily on 5/23/2008.
