Clifford Edsel Rickard's Obituary
Clifford Edsel Rickard, 78, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013, 6PM at Elkins Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Bertha Rickard; wife Tommie Hendon Rickard.
He is survived by his sister Ruth Broadfoot (Bill); sons Chris Rickard (Campbell), Sam Rickard (Dolores),Tim Hendon (Mary), and Randy Hendon; nephew Howard Broadfoot (Laurel); niece Lisa Whatley (Rod); grandchildren Alex and Nicole Rickard and Brooklyn and Justin Hendon; great niece Caroline Jones (Jeffrey); great nephews Alex Beumer and Will Broadfoot.
Edsel graduated high school in 1952 at New Hope High. He served in the US Air Force. Retired from Reynolds Aluminum after 30 years and was a member of IBEW local 558. He was a HAM radio operator, loved old cars, airplanes, music, animals, and Crimson Tide Football.
He will be loved and missed by ALL including his dogs, Pepe and Tina.
The family request donations be made to the Humane Society.
