Clyde Willis Hall Decatur
Funeral for Clyde Willis Hall, 95, of Decatur will be Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall, who died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Falkville Healthcare, was born October 22, 1915, in Lawrence County to James T. Hall and Sallie F. Ferguson Hall. Mr. Hall served in World War II. He was a corporal in the 346th Infantry Company "F" serving from August 1944 to May 1946. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with two Bronze Stars among others.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Harville and husband, Ray; three sons, Mervin Waugh and wife, Judy, Darvin Waugh and wife, Kathy, and Charles Waugh and wife, Faye; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Harville, Eddie Borden, Bradley Borden, Daris Borden, Ronald Crow and Jerry Haynes.
