Daniel Washington White, age 82, of Florence, died on Thursday November 12, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services will be on Saturday November 14, 2009 at 2 pm in the chapel of Elkins Funeral Home with Rev. Laymon Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Tri Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday November 13, 2009 from 6 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. White is retired from Tri-Mac Trucking Company and was a member of Lee Heights Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bobbye White; his parents, Burge and Della White; his grandson, Danny White; and his great grandsons, Nathaniel Shea White and Malachi Thacker.
Mr. White is survived by his daughters, Penny Rice (Mickey), Tammy Wyatt (Greg), and Kristy Thacker (Melvin); his sons, Randy White (Connie), James White (Linda), John White, and Dean White (Sandy); his grandchildren, Kristy Thacker, Miranda Barrett, Casey Wallace, KaSara Streetman, Donna Wells, Michael and Stephen Rice, Elizabeth, Alex, and Samantha Wyatt, Daniel, Zachary, and Britney White, Halie, Loren, and Bryan White; and 19 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alex Wyatt, Brent Hoagland, Michael Rice, Stephen Rice, Zachary White, and Josh Hodges.
