David R. Johnson, 69, of Lexington died Friday, October 9, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 12-2 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Issac Brown and Austin Lane officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Elkins East Chapel is honored to be assisting the family.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Betty Williams Johnson and two babies, Joshua Jeremiah and Sadie Julia Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica Johnson; children, Ryan Johnson (McKayla) and Jessica Johnson; grandchildren, Krew Johnson, Hope, Bristol, Noah, and Taylor; sisters, Donna Lee (Mike), Terri Roberts (Steve), Jeanne Cozine (Rick), Susan Long (Jack), and Lisa Causey (John); his special pet, Cavi-Pooh, Klara; numerous nieces and nephews.
