Funeral for David Lee Melson, 57, of Houston, Alabama will be Tuesday , March 6, 2007 at Moreland Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Minnie Dale Laster officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday night from 6 until 9 at the church. Mr. Melson, who died Saturday, March 3, 2007, was born January 24, 1950 in Lawrence County to Bill and Loner Ellen Keenum Melson. Survivors include, his wife, Judy Melson; one son, Brian Keith Melson & wife Mary; two daughters, Machelle Morales and husband Alejandro, and Cindy Rubio and husband Dany; two brothers, Dewey Wayne Melson and wife Lisa and Wendel Melson; five sisters, Shirley Tobias, Annie Melson, Helen Smith, Fannie Calhoun and Virginia Campbell and husband Charles; eight grandchildren, Jimmy, Bridget, Kristen, Franky, Savannah, Kaylee, Ethan and Alex; one great grandchild, Jakob. Pallbearers will be Bradley Crow, Clyde Melson, Erick Melson, Tony Calhoun, Alejandro Morales and Dany Rubio.
