David Moore, 62, of Florence, formerly of Hartselle, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his residence. A private memorial service will be planned later by his family. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

An avid Auburn fan, he coached all of his children''s little league sports and will be remembered by many of his former players. Often described as a person with a giant heart and a great sense of humor, David loved to hike, camp, swim, ride his bicycle and walk in the woods with his dogs, often accompanied by his grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife, Manning Blair; sons, Zac Moore (Tina), Ben Moore, Tim Moore (Allie); daughter, Blair Keegan; mother, Ruth Moore; grandchildren, Mason Moore, Eli Moore, Sebastian Borden and Jesse Borden; sister, Jan Neumaster (Terry); brothers, Jerry Moore (Judy) and Donny Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
