David Mac Simpson Danville
David Mac Simpson, 60, of Danville, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham.
Funeral services will be this evening, November 3, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Burial will follow on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Mr. Simpson is preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Simpson and Lillian Nadine Simpson.
Mac was born December 3, 1949, to William and Lillian Nadine Smith Simpson. He was employed at Neatherton Auto Parts. Mac graduated from West Morgan High School and attended Jackson State University and Calhoun College.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon "Sha Sha" Simpson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Sarah McCaig Dickerson; sister, Clara Terry and husband, Ronnie, of Danville; sister-in-law, Robia Mullican and husband, Andy, of Trinity; brother-in-law, Tommy McCaig of Moulton; brother-in-law, Jim Dickerson and sister-in-law, Yvonne Dickerson, both of Panama City, Fla.; nieces, Rona Terry Blevins and husband, Willis, of Danville and Rebecca Terry Myers and husband, John, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; nephews, Meghan Scott Mullican of Trinity, Bradley Terry and wife, Daphne, of Danville and Greg McCaig and wife, Amber, of Trinity.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church funds or to the American Cancer Society .
Mac left a note to his wife and everyone else that he wanted to thank everyone for all they have done for him and Sharon.
Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
