Dee Edward Ray's Obituary
Mr. Dee Edward Ray, 93, of Florence, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at ECM Hospital.
The graveside service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the mausoleum of Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Henry Melton will officiate. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his wife Gerry Ray. He was a lover of jazz and looked forward to the Handy Festivals. His positive outlook on life was appreciated by all who knew him.
He is survived by a daughter Deborah Ray, Thompsons Station, Tennessee; sons Gary Ray, Florence, Lynn Ray and wife Anne, Florence, and Paul Ray, Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren Jesse and Braydee Ray, Phillip, Joshua and Joanna Strickland, and David Ray; seven great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters-in-law of the Clarence and Ola Beck family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the charity of your choice.
