Mrs. Della Simbeck Russell, age 97, of Florence, died Thursday December 3, 2009. Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2009, from 6 to 8 PM at Elkins Funeral home Florence. The service will be Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Father Andrew Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Russell was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband; Paris Russell, a precious grandson, Andy Green and by a great-granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Campbell. She is survived by her daughters; Ann Russell Blackstock (James A.) and Judy Russell Green. Sons; James T. Russell (Gloria) and Grant Russell (Bobbie). 16 Grandchildren, 27 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Glenwood Nursing Home and staff, to Dr. Webb and Sandy Wargo.
