Denise Clayton, 47, of Muscle Shoals passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Red Bay Hospital. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Eddie Osborn officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

"Neesie" loved Auburn football and bass fishing. She also enjoyed playing basketball and being outdoors.

Survivors include her partner, Carol Rose; sister, Shelah Stutts (Chris); brother, Glen "D.D." Clayton (Melinda); nieces and nephews, Wendy Clayton, Haleigh Stevenson (Chris), Kyle Clayton, and Hunter Stutts; great nieces, Alexas, Jaidah, and Baby Stevenson (due August 2015); and her two beloved dogs, Laci and Milo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Clayton; mother, Jo Ann Clayton Mitchell; step father, Brown Mitchell; and sister, Teresa Clayton.

Pallbearers will be Josh Waldrep, Brent Oakley, Ryan Logan, Zac Aday, Michael Williams, and Jerry McCafferty. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Davenport and Jeremy Green.
