Graveside service for Dial Darnell Pettey, 98, of Decatur will be Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Reverend Wayne Newby officiating.
Mrs. Pettey died May 27, 2013, at Riverside Senior Living. She was born December 26, 1914, in Sylacauga to Charles A. Darnell and Emmie Dial Darnell. She was retired from AmSouth National Bank. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Pettey was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Everett Pettey; her parents; and two sisters, Billie D. Twilley Hinkle and Ione D. Lehman.
Survivors include one brother, Newsome Darnell of Vienna, Va., and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
