Funeral for Dirven Dale Reeves, 62, of Courtland will be Monday, March 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Jones officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethal Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Reeves, who died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, was born April 11, 1944, in Courtland to Joe and Ora Lee Reeves. His father, and brother, Marvin Glenn preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Ora Lee Grissom; two sisters, Burna Lee Cline and Margaret Grizzard, both of Courtland; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Benny Dumas, Brandan Grizzard, Josh Holt, Preston Mears, Ben Dumas and Lonnie Dumas. Honorary pallbearer will be Sam Porter.
