Donald C. Carroll, age 88, of Rogersville, went to be with his Lord on Saturday May 1, 2010 at St. Vincent''s- St. Claire Hospital in Pell City, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 6, 2010 at 12 pm at Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville.
Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Pearline W. Carroll; and his parents, D. O. And Alene Rockett Carroll. He worked for the State of Alabama for 15 years at Joe Wheeler State Park. Mr. Carroll served in the U. S. Army during WWII and fought on the front line for 14 months.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his children, Joe Carroll of Hoover, AL, Sheila Clayton and husband Ron of Modesto, CA, Donna Farley of Pell City, AL, Doug Carroll and wife Marilyn of Belmont, CA, and stepson, Jimmy Lee of Rogersville; his brother, Jimmy Carroll and wife June of North Carolina; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Garland Lyle, Randy Parker, Tim Haney, Tommy Waddell, Mark Waddell, Scott Waddell, and Brian Cummings.
