Decatur Funeral for Donald Lee Marshall, 76, of Decatur will be Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Jackson and Rev. Bryan Blass officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery. Visiation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.Donald Lee Marshall passed away February 2, 2015, at his home. He was born February 23, 1938, in Anniston. He was married to the love of his life, Katy Ruth Hilley Marshall for 58 years.Mr. Marshall attended Anniston High School, UAB, Birmingham, and was a graduate of Athens State University. He retired from Chevron Oil after 35 years of service. He was an area retail manager for north Alabama and north Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked with Junior Achievement, Crime Stoppers, Little League baseball and football. He was a former deacon and member of Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, football and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Marshall and Georgia Ann Kelley Marshall; and brother, Thomas Henry Marshall.He is survived by his loving wife, Katy Ruth Hilley Marshall; sons, Dennis Marshall (Sherri) and Scott Marshall (Lisa); four grandchildren, Amanda Keil Davis (Adron), Drew Marshall (CJ), Preston and Patrick Marshall; and three great-grandchildren, Levi and Grant Davis, and Jace Marshall.Pallbearers will be Adron Davis, Drew Marshall, Preston Marshall, Patrick Marshall, Will Lott and Chris Dunivant.Honorary pallbearers will be Bart Reese and the Ed Denson Sunday school class.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Central Baptist Church or Hospice of the Valley (Alzheimers).
