Funeral for Doris Avon Boston, 78, of Town Creek will be Monday, June 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hollis Rutherford and Tom Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boston, who died Friday, June 24, 2011, was born July 28, 1932, in Town Creek to Matthew Monroe Patterson and Ina Burchel Patterson. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Town Creek. She was a homemaker and seamstress and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John H. Boston; three sons, Howard Ray Boston and wife, Denise, Rondold Joe Boston and wife, Keeta, and Johny Monroe Boston and wife, Mary Ann, all of Town Creek; two daughters, Shirley Miranda Robbins and husband, Tommy, and Kimberly Ann Beck and husband, Scott, all of Town Creek; one brother, Tom Campbell of Town Creek; five sisters, Laura Graham of Louisville, Ky., Faye Odell of Russellville, Murl Clemons and Sue Clemons, both of Hartselle, and Mattie Henley of Town Creek; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
