Doris Elizabeth King Our loving mother and grandmother, Doris Elizabeth King, 88,of Moulton passed away at her home on Saturday, March 22, 2008. she was born August 15, 1919. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, W.E. and Maggie Butler Campbell of Lexington; her sister, Burchell Campbell; and her husband, Edward Fred King. Mr. and Mrs. King were married 61 years prior to his death. Mrs. King was a housewife, a member of the Golden Circle Sunday class, a former Sunday School teacher and choir member at Moulton Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking. Her joy was sharing the flowers and food with others. She was a charter member of the Moulton Radiance Garden Club. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Elizabeth King of Moulton; son, Joel Edward King (Martha) of Moulton; three granddaughters, Lanna King, Cynthia King and Elizabeth King all of Nashville; a sister, Arthel Gist of Lexington; and a brother, Elton Campbell of Lexington. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Moulton Baptist Church, with the funeral following, with Rev. Jackie Shelton and Mary Swendenburg officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing Pallbearers will be Charles Beavers, Don Fitts, Tim Gillespie, Bryan Henderson, Tim Gillespie, Dwight James, Larry Last, Philip King and Wesley King. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Austin Campbell and Gary Campbell. A special thank you to all caregivers, Shirley Henson, Martha Hill, Vera Jackson, Donna Jackson, Lisa Mason, April Melson, Mary Montgomery, Norene Pearson and a special friend Mary Roberts.
