Mrs. Doris "Johnnie" Campbell Tomlinson, age 90, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at her home in Rogersville.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in the Oliver-Bedingfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Nannine Campell and her husband reeder Tomlinson, five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by children Wendell Tomlinson and wife Judy, Rogersville and Martha T. McBride and husband Mike, Decatur; grandchildren James Tomlinson and wife Wendy, Thomas Tomlinson, Heather Franklin and husband Jesse; great-grandchildren Jackson Tomlinson, Emily Tomlinson, Alaina Tomlinson, Audrey Tomlinson, Caroline Pilchier, Amber Franklin, Ashley Franklin, Dakota Strand, Preston Strand, Reagan McNeill and Garrett McNeill; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shane McNeill, James Tomlinson, Thomas Tomlinson, Jesse Strand, David Harvey and Ira Whitehead. Members of the Hannah Sunday School Class and Doyce Howard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals and Shirley Emery for the care given Mrs. Tomlinson.
