Dorothy G. Allen, 88, of Florence died Sunday, July 19, 2020, at her residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 11 AM to 12:30 PM at Elkins Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM in the chapel with Bro. Frank Mills officiating.  Burial will be private.

Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Central High School in 1950.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was a faithful member of Darby Drive Church of Christ and now Cross Point Church of Christ.  Dorothy "Dot" was dedicated to her family, and provided a home that was, and still is, full of love, nourishment, and spiritual growth.  She never let a moment pass without all those around her knowing that they were loved and cherished.  She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Thomas Allen; parents, Olen and Myrl Gray; sisters, Susie Hill, Frances Marks, and Betty Holt; brother, A. J. Gray.

She is survived by her children, Grady Thomas Allen, Jr. and Angela Davidson; grandchildren, Jason Allen, Kristen Howard, LeAnn Florence (Rich), and Chase Davidson (Stefanie); great-grandchildren, Owen and Grady Florence, Ava Howard, and Kye and Asher Davidson.

Pallbearers will be Jason Allen, Chase Davidson, Mark Marks, Phillip Marks, Jonathan Marks, Bruce Holt, and David Holt.
