The funeral for Dorothy Hood will be Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel with Petty Ezell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p. m. at the funeral home, burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Dorothy Hood, age 83, of Rogerssville, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 At Glenwood Nursing Home Rehabilitation Center. Dorothy was preceded in death by Her parents Tom & Lorna Bedingfield, brother & sisters, Sonny Bedingfield, Tommye Joyce Wear, Patti Ezell, and Betty Williams.
Mrs. Hood is survived by step grandchildren, Kim Martinez, of Santa Fe, N.M.,Debbie Matthews, Las Vegas, N.V. and Paula Lee Hersom, Pagosa Springs, Col. And her dog, precious.
Pallbearers, will be, Sherrel Comer, Larry Bedingfield, Jerry Bedingfield, Greg Stephenson, Bill Ausk, and Wendell Gann.
Dorothy, graduate from Lauderdale County High School, member of Rogersville Caf, Loved caring for her pet dog, precious.
