Funeral for Dorothy Armstrong Pepper Kent, 86, of Hartselle will be Monday, February 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Charles Maples officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kent, who died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at her home, was born August 27, 1924, in Madison County to A. and Dovie Armstrong. She was a senior companion for Community Action Morgan County and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edmon Pepper and Nolan Kent; and her brother, Sharky Armstrong.
Survivors include four sons, Jimmy F. Pepper, Kenneth Wayne Pepper, Randy E. Pepper and Johnny G. Pepper; two daughters, Brenda Carolyn Pepper Letson and Merita Faye Pepper Kent; two brothers, Melvin Armstrong and Freddie Armstrong; four sisters, Katherin A. Jordan, Eddie A. Boyd, Rosene A. Young and Betty Sue A. Fisher; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
