Ms. Dorothy F. Nance, born on April 27, 1939 to Jessie and Essie Nance, departed this life for her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Ms. Nance confessed in Christ at an early age at Goodspring C.P. Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rickey W. Nance; daughter, Marilyn Y. Nance; sisters, Ludia Coffee, Pauline Fuqua, Barbara A. Nance, Cletus Nance, Minnie Nance, and Dessie Bailey; brothers, William Bill Nance, Chester J. Nance, and George D. Nance; brothers-in-law, William Bailey V. C. Watkins, and Herman Fuqua.
Ms Nance leaves to cherish her memory Patricia F. Robinson, Shelia F. Williams, Melinda A. Brown, Bobbie Jean Watkins, Michael D. Nance, and Darrell A. Nance all of Rogersville, Alabama; sisters, Ella M. Watkins and Myra Watkins (Porter); brother, James E. Nance (Aundria); 24 Grandchildren; 39 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; three special friends, John M. Williams, Dena D. Nance, and Tracy Nance; foster daughter, Jekia McDaniels.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Easter Seal of Muscle Shoals.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 12, 2019, 5-9 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 13, 2019, 12 PM at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rogersville, Alabama, with Marcus Watkins officiating. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery in Rogersville, Alabama.
