Dorothy Alice Clemmons Simpson, 89, of Florence, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 12-1:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating.  Interment will be in Florence City Cemetery.

Mrs. Simpson was a loyal worker for Monarch Tile for 37 years.  After retiring in 1996, she dedicated most of her time to her beloved grandson when she wasn't helping neighbors or working in her well manicured yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Sallie Gardner Clemmons; sister, Leatha Clemmons Moore; brother, John H. Clemmons; nephews, Johnny Clemmons and Larry James Clemmons.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Norton; grandson, Christopher Norton (Chaya); granddaughter, Elisheva Miriam Norton; grandson, Nathan Joshua Norton; sister, Eunice Clemmons Hipp; niece, Joy Howard (David).

Pallbearers will be Scott Breakfield, Tim Davis, Donald Flie, Dennis Norton, David Howard and Kevin Johnson.
