Funeral service for Dwayne M. Ivie, 79 of Decatur, will be Saturday March 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Brian Canuteson and Rev. Hank Smith officiating and burial at Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday March 30, 2019  from noon until 2 p.m.

Mr. Ivie was born on May 18, 1939 in Oklahoma City to Oscar Ivie and Olivene Cooper Ivie.  He passed away on March 22, 2019 at USA Decatur Healthcare. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, and most recently was a ten year volunteer at Parkway Medical Center, he was also an active member of Decatur Baptist Church and loved to share his books and music with friends and family.

Mr. Ivie is survived by his wife Brenda Mizell Ivie of Decatur; son Eric M. Ivie and wife Leah of Trinity; daughters Kara Ivie Osborne and husband Bradley "B.J."of Nolensville, TN; daughter DeAnna Hayes of Reno, NV. Grandchildren Jonah and Kinsley Osborne, Courtney Hayes. Brother Randy Ivie of Oklahoma City, OK, sister Janice Jeffrey of Clayton, NM.  He was preceded in death by brothers Gerald Ivie and Don Ivie.

The United States Marine Corps will be providing full military honors.
