LTC Edgar Marion Steinhilper, 87, of Decatur passed away on May 30, 2019 at Decatur Morgan. He was a loving father and husband. Preceded by his wife Mary Litia and his son Glenn, 27years career officer with several tours of Vietnam, whose connection to the Huntsville area was his assignment as Deputy Director of Ballistic Missile defense Command in the 70's. Survived by his son Jack and his adored daughter in law, "Number One Daughter" Dawn Conner. He never acted out in anger or had an unkind word for anybody. He will be missed by all that knew him.  A memorial service will be at Ridout's Brown-Service on Friday June 14, 2019 at 11:00 am with military honors being preformed.
