Mrs. Edith Harris Bailes, born August 17, 1918 in Huntsville, AL passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at home. The graveside service will be Saturday, September 18, at 11am at Florence City Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Rea will officiate. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10am until service time.
Edith and her husband operated Trailways Bus Station and Caf for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Florence for over 60 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hatcher L. Bailes.
She is survived by a daughter Brenda Bailes; son, Louis Bailes (Sheila); grandchildren, Chris Quigley, Britton Bailes Hernandez, and Bevin Bailes Thomaston (Corey); and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers please consider memorials to Woodmont Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Florence, or a charity of your choice.
