Funeral for Edith G. Simmons, 94, of Decatur will be today, May 3, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gary Formby officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Simmons, who died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 12, 1919, in Morgan County to Daniel and Cora Summerford Garner.
She was the former owner of Decatur Upholstery Shop. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Williams and Clyde Simmons.
Survivors include one nephew, Charles Garner; niece, June Reynolds; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
