Funeral service for Edna Henderson Hamilton, 80, of Decatur will be Saturday May 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hamilton, who died Tuesday May 3, 2016 was born on November 28, 1935, in Alabama to John T Henderson and Mary J Haggard Henderson.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved dancing, singing, playing the organ, and she enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by six daughters: Rendy Keenum, Joy Hale (Scott), Debbie Turner (Steve), Tresa Hamilton Herring, Tammy Hollis (Wayne), and Heather Woods (Wallace); four brothers: Thomas R. Henderson, Paul W. Henderson, William L. Henderson, and John T. Henderson Jr.; five sisters: Gladys M. Ferguson, Shirley J. Baker, Juanelle Hale, Rebecca Maxwell, and Vickie Henderson; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters; Barbara Cryer and Paula Tayler, one sister: Carolyn Craig, and one granddaughter: Julia Herring.
