Funeral services for Edna Speegle Henson, 90 of Decatur, will be Tuesday January 2nd, 2018 at 2PM in the chapel of Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service.

Mrs. Henson was born Monday May 2nd, 1927 in Morgan County to Tommy Raymond Speegle and Lena Elizabeth Keel Speegle. She passed away Friday December 29, 2017 in Decatur.

Edna enjoyed being around people. Some of her favorite things to do were playing cards with friends, fishing and riding through the country telling stories about when she was younger. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially her 8 great- grandchildren. She loved them all very much. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her parents Tommy Raymond Speegle and Lena Elizabeth Keel Speegle; husband Frank Henson; son Ronald Dean Henson; brothers Dewey Speegle and Bobby Speegle; and sisters Sara Willodene Sharp, Barbara St. John, and Alene Briscoe.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Belinda Owens Henson; granddaughters Brandi Henson Childers and husband Lynn and Juli Nicole Henson; great-grandchildren Kaylee Childers, Makena Childers, Lila Childers, Owen Childers, Alaina Childers, Boston Childers, Connor Sivley, and Madilyn (Madi Kate) Foster; sisters Helen Cox and Rilla Lott; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
