Graveside service for Edna "Boots" Reardon, 80, of Decatur, will be Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Father Ray Remke officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Rideout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reardon, who died, Thursday, September 16, 2010, in Birmingham, was born June 5, 1930, in Tuscaloosa to Carl and Lillie Smith. She retired from Kroger, worked at Lyons Hotel dining room, a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary, a longtime volunteer with the CCC of Decatur and a member of the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Reardon and son, Timothy.
Survivors include two sons, James Reardon and wife, Dale, and Douglas Reardon and wife, Carol; daughter, Sheila Reardon Kimber; five grandchildren, Carl Reardon and wife, Heather, Jade Reardon, Nick Reardon, Robin Kimber and James Harris; four great-grandchildren, Kaylin Harris, Marcus Harris, Mya Harris and Warren "Ren" Reardon; brother, Roger Smith; and sister, Sylvia Gossett.
