Edward "Mickey" Curry Moss age 81 of Rogersville passed on Friday, June, 26, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Elkins East Chapel from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Services will be Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Elkins East Chapel with Brother Daniel Huntley officiating. Burial will be at Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville.
Mickey was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Jean Moss and his son Curry Wayne Moss.
He is survived by three daughters. Dietra Greer and husband Lynn, Dawn "Cindy" Davis Bennett and husband Carl, and Margo Moss. One son, David Moss and wife Anna. One brother, John Moss and wife Gail. Seven grandchildren; Matthew Scott and wife Christen, Bridgett Scott and husband Jamie Simmons, Danielle Krieger and husband Jacob, Damian Moss, Gage Campbell, Ryan Moss and Keegan Moss. Three great-grandchildren; Jazmine Scott, Ethan Krieger and Caleb Krieger. And his beloved companions Annie Mae and Annabelle.
Mickey was co-owner of T.J. Moss Lumber Company which moved to Rogersville from Corinth in 1957. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War along the west coast of our nation operating the radar systems. It was often a topic during his discussions of his military career (to those that knew him well) that he protected us all single handed by standing guard on the west coast so as we would not be invaded.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a cause of your choosing in his memory.
