Mr. Edward "Possum" Riddle, 73, of Florence, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010. The family will receive friends for visitation at Elkins Funeral Home on Monday, September 27, from 5pm till 7pm. The Memorial Service will begin at 7pm officiated by Bro. Robert Huffaker.
Mr. Riddle is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bessie Riddle; and a sister, Kathy Brown. Possum retired from Reynolds/Wise Alloy however his favorite occupation was as owner of Fairview Supermarket. He was also a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Boyd Riddle; daughters, Donna Creasy (Dennis), Lisa McGee (Bobby), and Karen Richardson (Jack); grandchildren, Leighann Hills (Eric), Robert McGee (Misty), Nick Yerbey (Nikki), Casey Zahnd (Tyler), Jordan Yerbey, Jake Yerbey, Danielle Richardson, and Tori Richardson; great-grandchildren, Austin Hills, Lillie-Grace McGee, Kenzie-Leigh Yerbey, Mary Tyler, Makenzie and Ethan Zahnd; sister, Pat Abramson; brother, Tommy Riddle (Glenda); sisters-in-law, Jackie Wade and Nell Lewis; brother-in-law, William Boyd (Sue); and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Heritage Christian University, 3625 Helton Drive, Florence, Ala, 35633.
