Mr. Eldon Shelton McDaniel, 75, of Florence, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Visitation will be Friday May 28, 2010, from 6 till 9 PM at Elkins funeral home Florence. The service will be Saturday May 29, 2010, at 1PM, at St. James United Methodist church, with Rev. Charles Canterbury officiating. Interment will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The casket will be placed in the church 1 hour before the service. The family will receive guests in the St. James Family Life Center from 12 noon until 1:00. Food, coffee and tea will be served. Mr. McDaniel was born April 3, 1935 in Covington, Tennessee. After moving to Florence, he managed Kent''s Dollar Store from 1961 - 1976. In 1976 he founded McDaniel Window and Door, from which he retired 2 years ago. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deloris McDaniel; by his sons, Tommy McDaniel and wife Paula of Sheffield, Mike McDaniel and wife Bonnie Blue of Florence. Granddaughters; Shelley, Kayla and Cassie McDaniel; Grandsons, Chaillie and Woodard Watkins, Michael Marshall and Clinton Norwood. Great-grandchildren, Samuel and Cash Marshall. Sisters; Mary Max and husband Wayne, Jeanette Marshall and husband Bobby, both of Covington, TN. Phyllis McDaniel of Liberty, MO. And will be loved and missed by many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will include Gary Kelley, Curtis Burns, Matt Davis, Mickey Hendon, Don R. Willis and Stan Hopkins. Honorary bearers will include Ed Tease, Will Little, John Cole, James R.
