Mrs. Elizabeth L. House, beloved wife of Jewell G. House, age 80, passed away at 1:15 at Helen Keller Hospital Friday, December 11, 2009. Mrs. House was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Marine Corps. She was born near Morgantown, WV, and upon completion of business college she was employed by NASA in the Washington D.C. office.
She transferred to AL in 1960 and was employed in the financial management office at NASA. She Transferred to El Paso, TX and was employed by the financial management office of the US Army Defense Center. She retired in 1972 and returned to AL. In 1986 she made her home on Bluewater Creek in Lauderdale County.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, December 13, from 7-9 pm at Elkins East Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2 pm in Civitan Cemetery.
